The Treasure Box edition includes a picture frame, clock, 56 character cards, and an original soundtrack CD. Other outfits are available at various Japanese stores. ![]() Buy the game new to receive an idol outfit for Naotora. The first 100,000 people to reserve the title received an Ii themed microfiber towel. It is the last title to celebrate the series's tenth anniversary. The producer adds that it is "another side" of the same game, neither a continuation nor an Xtreme Legends expansion. Its sales pitch is to present the "perfect version" of the title, words which are reminiscent to Chronicle 2nd's marketing. I agree that the price is too high, but I got this game's PC port as a gift so it's a freebie for me, and I love literally almost every musou game, barring Dynasty Warriors 6, which plays so sluggishly it makes Dynasty Warriors 9 feel like a masterpiece by comparison, because as tech demo-y as DW9 feels, at least it doesn't feel like garbage to actually play.Samurai Warriors 4-II (戦国無双 4-II, Sengoku Musou 4-II) is the revised edition of Samurai Warriors 4. PC's actually considerably bigger in Japan than you'd think, and there's actually a LOT of indie Japanese PC games that were made over the years, but that's off topic. #SAMURAI WARRIORS 4 II PC WIKI SOFTWARE#The Steam guide by Idarion links to a DLL file that injects into the game and fixes the bindings to match a real XBOne controller, and also a button prompt adder that actually works.Īlternatively, you can use XInput Plus, which is a program that can generate rebind files for any game with wonky controller support, should you need to, and the program appears to come from Japanese gamers who've experienced similar problems themselves (I say this simply because the site itself has roughly the same exact explanation for why the software was made as what I've just outlined, except focusing on the limitations of the Microsoft 360 controller drivers' DInput emulation). Something about how Steam Input works also just flat doesn't work with anything relying on DirectInput, hence why the controller issues here are as they are. XInput doesn't EXACTLY have the same feature set, and this game attempts to read an XInput controller AS DirectInput, which obviously doesn't work entirely. Microsoft axed that on the XBOne controller, and it's not an issue for MOST modern games, except specifically Japanese games that relied on DirectInput, either for age reasons, or because DirectInput controllers were for a long time just more common over there. 360 controllers and most even current 3rd Party PC controllers actually HAVE DirectInput modes for games that use DirectInput. The problem came when Microsoft borked DirectInput support on the XBOne controller, on a firmware level. It's very common for older Japanese indie games like the older Touhou games or QP Shooting Dangerous, or XMas Shooting Scramble, but here in the west we pretty much only use it for Playstation controller compatibility, since Sony doesn't want to use XInput on their PC controller drivers. To make a long story short, this game was made with DirectInput as a controller API, partially because many Japanese controllers used it, especially in 2015, and also PS3/PS4 controllers use DirectInput with their drivers. #SAMURAI WARRIORS 4 II PC WIKI MOD#The controller issues are alleviated by a mod listed as a steam guide by the user Idarion, which is pretty easy to find under the top of all time guides. If you like the series, give this a shot, it's one of the finest games, on a gameplay front, even if I'm miffed that Samurai Warriors 4 (the original has alternate modes) and Samurai Warriors 4 Empires aren't on PC (we did get Spirit of Sanada which is based on Empires 4, but that has a set story campaign as opposed to the procedural generated Empires norm). #SAMURAI WARRIORS 4 II PC WIKI SERIES#This game is one of the MANY excellent games in the Warriors/Musou series, named as such because every single game in the series contains one of those words, except a few (like Berserk - Guts and the Band of the Hawk, which is called Berserk Musou in Japanese).
